Boulders Beach Penguins
Boulders Beach Penguins is a unique and great experience. It has a vast population of penguins within the beach area, a great sight to be seen.
The penguins are not one bit afraid of you and will wonder around and give some great opportunities for a photo. They can even be very entertaining running around and playing around with each other.
So the area itself is a small little town has, shops, street sellers, restaurants and cafes. So great to enjoy as part of a tour or even if you wish to drive out, you could easily make a half day out of it. Or even a full day by adding another trip because there is loads to do in the area.
Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated. Located in the Cape Peninsula, near Simon’s Town towards Cape Point, near Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is also commonly known as Boulders Bay. It is a popular tourist spot because of a colony of African penguins which settled there in 1982. Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National Park.
So how did we see it? We did a guided tour, which we found was great. The guides were highly knowledgeable and because of this would highly recommend this company below, it’s so worth doing it right. They also had some goods deals incorporating the seals and penguins tours.
Note: this was the same company we did the Cape Point tour with.https://www.citysightseeing.co.za/en/cape-town/cape-point-penguin-explorer-tour
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to have a look, there would be plenty more to come. But for now it’s goodbye.
