Cape Point, Cape Town

Cape Point is something of a must when travelling to this region of Cape Town. The Views are just spectacular, and because of this the photo opportunities are the best.

There are various walking tracks around the point that can be done. We didn’t do any personally but we chatted to a few people and we were told they were great. So make sure you pack some comfy shoes, because you will want to do it all. There is a cafΓ© there that does some great food, and a great pitstop to refuel for more adventures.

Its not all just about looks and photos, in this area there are also penguin beaches to view, which we will be featuring soon and the stunning Hout Bay habour, where you can take a Seal tour and get so close and personable with the seals. Also a great explore in Hout Bay, is the township there.

Cape Point has an array of beautiful views, and so many sites.
The views from Cape Point

It’s History

Cape Point is a promontory at the southeast corner of the Cape Peninsula, which is a mountainous and scenic landform that runs north-south for about thirty kilometres at the extreme southwestern tip of the African continent in the Republic of South Africa.

The Tour

So how did we see it? We did a guided tour, which we found was great. The guides were highly knowledgeable and because of this would highly recommend this company below, it’s so worth doing it right. They also had some goods deals incorporating the seals and penguins tours.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to have a look, there will be plenty more to come. But for now it’s goodbye and enjoy some more posts.

    1. It looks so pretty. Did you go to area where baboons crawl all over you (or am I thinking of a different place?) South Africa and Namibia are two of my favourite places in terms of scenery, I did a post on the latter on my website if you wanted to check it out

    2. Wow! Such beautiful pictures. Cape town is wonderful. These pictures made my day. Thanks for sharing!

    3. I’ve been interested in Cape Town for a while now but haven’t looked into it. This is beautiful and full of great information!
