With likes of Daark and Elk Espresso, Blackboard Varsity Lakes was one of the first trendy cafes to arrive on the Gold Coast.
Initially known for its coffee as being one the best around, Blackboard has develop into a great all round cafe known for its food and coffee. And the premises itself has grown to accommodate the business.
Although being a popular hang out for the local Bond University, Blackboard is as big as a destination venue with locals driving from all corners of the Gold Coast to visit.

Blackboard is located in the trendy University suburb of Varsity Lakes.
20 minute drive from Surfers Paradise and 10 minutes from Robin Town centre and train station.
The Food
The food at blackboard Varsity Lakes certainly doesn’t disappoint. With our favourites being 16 hour beef brisket with corn bread and jalapeno hollandaise, or the potato hash with hollandiase and choice of toppings or the ever popular truffle scrambled eggs.
Breakfast rolls featuring pork belly is a neat change and glazed with maple is always a hit. Avocado mash with the added twists of spiced dukkah and house made lebnah. Its great to see popular dishes with modern twists.
Lighter options available are such as homemade granolas and fresh acai bowls give a fresh option.
The treat cabinet is just as fun with an ever changing selection of indulgent and healthy options. But the personal recommendations are the doughnuts.
