Commune Cafe
Insight
One of the original occupiers of the trendy Gold Coast Café scene is Commune Cafe located in the trendy Burleigh Heads suburb.
With it’s Queenslander style building. The feeling of home oozes out of Commune and the garden with its mismatched furniture certainly emphasizes that. It like being served breakfast at your mates place.
The owners are big players in the Gold Coast dining scene with the ever popular Japanese restaurant Etsu Izakaya as another one of there businesses.
It’s certainly a destination cafe with locals and tourists visiting and one which holds a wide reputation.
Location
Commune Cafe located alongside the Gold Coast highway 2 minute drive from the the center of Burleigh Heads. And 25 minute drive to Surfers Paradise.
Tucked in a side road off the highway, but still clearly visible.
The Food
The simple things are done right at Commune the bacon and egg roll with added avocado is delicious and the bacon and eggs with homemade tomato relish is great (the relish makes it).

Simple is not all though take a look at the crab meat scramble egg or the tasty mushroom and haloumi burger. Even if your not a vegetarian this burger is to die for.
Acai Bowls add a great twist, a refreshing choice packed with fresh fruits and very pleasing on the eye.
A treat cabinet at the front rounds off a perfect morning indulgence and with the ever popular Campos coffee you wont find fault here.
